Destress at these 5 new coffee shops in Makati

Idk about you but my go-to stress reliever is a good coffee. Whenever I’m stressed or feeling down, I make sure to visit a nice café. It also became a sort of goal or part of my bucketlist to visit/discover a new coffee shop and try unique flavors of coffee.

Makati is actually my fave place for good coffee because 1) it’s less than 30 minutes away from my workplace (without traffic) and 2) the list of coffee shops in Makati just goes on and on. It’s like there’s a new coffee shop being open monthly and you can never run out of choices to destress from the reality of life.

So Loves, here are five new coffee shops in Makati that are perfect to relieve your stress:

Caffeined by Artesania

Caffeined by Artesania is located in a furniture showroom in Arnaiz Avenue. Originally named as Caffeined by Mozaic Living, the café was originally located in Sheridan Street in Mandaluyong but closed down and moved to Makati. In fact, I really wanted to visit this café but had no chance as Mandaluyong is quite far for me and when I got to visit the place, I learned that it was already closed (how sad). So, when I heard that it moved to Makati, I made sure to check the area. If you are looking for a homey vibe in a café and want to admire pieces and arts done by local craftsmen, then this is the place for you. (Location: 910 Arnaiz Avenue, San Lorenzo, Makati City)

Bluesmith Coffee & Kitchen

Salted egg chips lovers rejoiced as a new café located in Greenbelt (yes, only in Greenbelt) is offering a good serving of Salted Egg House-Cut Potato Chips for only 220 pesos. Bluesmith Coffee & Kitchen is so far my fave café in Makati because it’s very accessible and serves all-day specialty coffee and comfort food. Aside from their salted egg chips, I’m also in love with their Beer-Battered Onion Rings, Hazelnut Latte, and 24-Hour Cold Brew. (Location: 3rd Floor, Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center, Makati City)

Harlan and Holden Dine

There are two branches of Harlan & Holden Dine in Makati: the bigger branch is in Rockwell and the other one is in Greenbelt. I wasn’t able to visit their Rockwell branch but I’m planning to in the near future (hehe)! If you’re not familiar with Harlan & Holden, it’s actually a clothing brand with stores in Ph, SoKor, and Indonesia.  It’s popular for its relaxed and comfortable style which, I can say, also manifests on the interiors of its cafes. Well, if you’re looking for an intimate café where you and your barkadas can chill, Harlan & Holden Dine is a good option. (Location: Ground Floor, Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center, Makati City).

Vengo

Located in Legazpi Village, Vengo is a neighborhood café and a Mexican restaurant in one! I’m very happy that I chose this café to celebrate my 24th birthday with my friends. The good thing about Vengo is that it offers mouthwatering recipes of tacos and burritos while giving you unique flavors of coffee like Love, Rosie (consists of rose syrup, fresh milk on ice, espresso, and tapioca pearls), Horchata Café (consists of horchata, espresso, and cinnamon), Fade to White (iced americano with muscovado syrup and milk coffee jelly), and Fade to Black (iced latte with muscovado syrup and black coffee jelly). Coffee and tacos? Why not! (Location: Cojuanco and Sons Building, C. Palanca cor Dela Rosa Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City)

Hineleban Cafe

I just recently came from Bukidnon and learned that the province is also famous for their coffee. I came across a store selling Hineleban beans and I thought that it was somewhat familiar so I googled the name and I realized that the reason why I recognized “Hineleban” is because of this café that is also located in the busy street of Arnaiz. In collaboration with Hineleban Foundation in Bukidnon, Hineleban Café is a third wave café inside a bike and surf shop. From an article, I learned that this café hopes to change “the way Filipinos appreciate coffee” in the country as it highlights the traceability of coffee beans from farm to cup. Isn’t it great to drink coffee for a good cause? (Location: 830 Arnaiz Avenue, San Lorenzo, Makati City)

That’s it Loves, I hope you could visit these cafes when you’re also feeling blue and I wish that they’ll also make you smile, same with what they did to me. Make sure to follow @loveexplores on FB and IG for more coffee adventures!
